Mayor Mark Funkhouser squeaked out a 1-point victory in an upset of the Orlando Scorchers, 92-91. Funk’s win knocked the Scorchers out of first place.

Dallas quarterback Tony Romo dominated the week with 392 yards passing (completing 41 of 55 passes) and three touchdowns and pushing Funk’s team to victory — despite Funk’s best efforts to sink to the bottom of the league.

Funk’s officially eliminated from playoff contention (sorry Police Athletic League), but now he’s playing the role of spoiler. This week’s match up with Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl‘s Pittsburgh Proud, an 8-5 playoff bound team, could have playoff implications by knocking the Proud out of third place.
