Watch Toronto’s lame mayor smack talk the Royals, imitate Jose Bautista’s bat flip

Toronto Mayor John Tory and Kansas City Mayor Sly James made the customary municipal bet on the outcome of the American League Championship Series between the Blue Jays and the Royals.
If the Royals win, James gets a bunch of craft beer from Toronto. If the Blue Jays prevail, Tory gets — what else? — Kansas City barbecue.
Tory went before Toronto’s television cameras to announce the bet, proclaiming that Toronto’s craft brew is more potent than Kansas City’s (debatable), the Blue Jays’ pitchers are stronger (um, no) and its hitters are more powerful (definitely possible).
Afterward, Tory limply flung a baseball bat into some nearby municipal reflecting pool in a sorry attempt to re-create Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista’s righteous bat flip after slamming a home run to finish off the Texas Rangers earlier this week.
This whole thing would have been a lot more fun if Rob Ford were still running the show in Toronto.
