Watch Her Work

In an interview with The Pitch last year about local fashion designer Ari Fish’s appearance on Project Runway, Peregrine Honig said, “Most of the time, when you read about young actors or designers emerging from Kansas City, it’s treated as a novelty. ‘Kansas City?’ As if we’re living in cornfields with a piece of wheat hanging from everyone’s teeth.” Watch Honig reclaim KC’s reality-TV glory every Wednesday at the Brick (1727 McGee, 816-421-1634), when the Crossroads bar and restaurant hosts watch parties for Bravo’s Work of Art. Cheer her on while enjoying $2 Miller High Life bottles, $3 Jameson shots, $5 burger baskets and $12 flaming volcano drinks. “I don’t know how this show will play out, but I know that Peregrine will make for some tough competition. She is fiercely talented and not likely to back down from a challenge,” says Sheri Parr, owner of the Brick. The show starts at 9 p.m., and there’s no cover.— Berry Anderson
