Vincent Civella, son of Anthony ‘Tony Ripe’ Civella, pleads guilty to running an illegal gambling operation

Vincent F. Civella, the son of Kansas City Crime Family boss Anthony “Tony Ripe” Civella, pleaded guilty in federal court today to running an illegal gambling operation on the Internet.

Civella, 53, is the sixth man to plead guilty in the probe.

His family has long ties to gambling. Tony Ripe, his father, was sentenced

to five years in prison for skimming casino profits. While locked up,

Tony Ripe allegedly kept the business running through William “Willie the Rat” Cammisano.
