Veterans for Brownback makes unsurprising endorsement

Sam Brownback was nervous.

Last Friday, Kansas’ next governor announced the formation of a group called Veterans for Brownback. Brownback thought he had made a good impression on the flinty-eyed retired colonels — the fading Brownback for President bumper stickers on their LeSabres was a good sign. But he took nothing for granted.

The waiting is over. On Monday, the press reported that Veterans for Brownback had endorsed, yes, Sam Brownback.
