Vernon Brooks pleads no contest to charges he robbed four KU students at gunpoint

Former University of Kansas football players Jamal Greene and Vernon Brooks were accused of attempting to rob four KU students of drugs and money at gunpoint last May.

On Wednesday, the Lawrence Journal-World reported

that Brooks pleaded no contest to aggravated-burglary and aggravated-assault charges. Brooks apparently cut a deal to plead guilty to those charges in exchange for prosecutors dumping charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy.
