Vandals paint racial slurs on woman’s SUV

Lots of nastiness in Merriam (read, Johnson County). First, we find out that Scott P. Roeder, the suspected killer of abortion doctor George Tiller, lives in Merriam. Now, a Merriam woman claims she’s being harassed because she has friends who are minorities. Theresa Kelsay showed KCTV-5 the racial slurs painted on her SUV. But we’re not talking about an isolated incident. Kelsay claimed this was the sixth — sixth! — time it’s happened.

It has happened on her job, at her apartment and at a friend’s

apartment. Vandals have used eggs, other food products and markers on

her SUV for the past month.

Police are investigating. C’mon people. Be nice out there.
