USA Pan-Am baseball team loaded with Kansas City Royals prospects

Forget that the Royals are wrapping up another absolutely dreadful season. Forget that they’re about to tally their 90th loss, and that their lone star is pissy and struggling. And let’s pretend that rumor about David Glass selling the team was never started.

Because — shock — there is actually cause to be hopeful about the club. Weird, right? The club’s farm system is positively bursting with talented youngsters. Proof that even non-Royals devotees are high on future Royals (or trade bait) came this week when of USA Baseball released its roster for the forthcoming Pan American qualifying tournament. The team of 24 minor league ballplayers has six players that could potentially light up Kauffman Stadium in the coming years.
