What is the next best thing after watching the Chiefs play at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany? Watching them in a Kansas City bar at 8:30 in the morning, of course!

The Chiefs take on the Miami Dolphins at 8:30 a.m. CST on Sunday, November 5. Some area restaurants are leaning into their midwestern hospitality and opening early. Here are some spots to don your red, have an early beer, and cheer on Chief’s Kingdom.

The Combine opens first at 7 a.m. on Sunday. Along with a Chiefs watch party, The Combine is also celebrating its three-year anniversary. Breakfast pizza, mimosas, Bloody Marys, wings, and more will be on special.

The Peanut locations in Overland Park, Mission, State Line, Olathe, and North Kanas City are living up to their reputation of being one of the staple spots to watch a game by opening at 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Double Tap KC in River Market opens at 7:30 a.m. The special offer of the day is an all-you-can-eat buffet and bottomless mimosas for $30. Double Tap is also offering $3 shots when the Chiefs score, $10 pitchers, and more.

Gaels Public House and Sports is throwing a pajama party. Doors open at 8 a.m., and reservations are available. Specials include $10 bottles of bubbly and pitchers of beermosas.

Brew Top Pub & Patio invites you to the Prairie Fire area of Overland Park. Doors open at 8 a.m., and there will be brunch specials through 11 a.m.

KC Live! downtown may be considered cliche, but it is also free and guaranteed to be full of game-day spirit. Pregame entertainment and a party atmosphere are present no matter how early the game is.

River Bluff Brewing in River Market opens at 8 a.m. and you’re welcome to bring your own food. Donutology just opened in the vintage trolley in the same area. River Bluff is offering $5 Arrowhead Red Pints during the game, in addition to other beer specials.

Vine Street Brewing opens at 7:30 a.m. This special morning features bottomless beermosas for $18. This is made with fresh-squeezed orange juice from André’s Confiserie Suisse and Vine Street beer.

Block 15 Tavern & Exchange in River Market is partnering with neighbor Tribe Street Kitchen for brunch. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., and tickets are required. Tickets are $20 in advance and guarantees entry as well as the brunch buffet.

Bonus tip: If you’re hosting at home, stop by Affäre this week for authentic German Brats by the 5-Pack, plus red cabbage, sauerkraut, spaetzle, and German desserts like pavlova, Käsesahnetorte, and more.
