Tyrone Stewart Jr. shot and killed at 31st and Garfield in Kansas City, Kansas

UPDATE (11:23 a.m. August 3): KCK police say Tyrone Stewart Jr., 27, was the victim of Tuesday’s homicide at 31st and Garfield.

Original Story (8:41 a.m. August 2): Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide after the body of a man was discovered in the 1900 block of North 31st Street.

Reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Tennyson came in around 2:30 a.m. A woman in her 20s had been shot but had non-life-threatening injuries. Two other people were fired upon but weren’t hit.  Police were told that there may have been another victim, who wasn’t located until 5 a.m. He was dead at the scene.
