Two homicides in KCMO Tuesday evening
Kansas City, Missouri, recorded two homicides Tuesday evening.
The first occurred around 6:07 p.m. in the 2400 block of Chelsea. Police responded to a call of gunshots and discovered a black man (approximately 20 years old) dead in the backyard of a home.
Two black males were seen fleeing the scene in a red minivan headed northbound on Chelsea.
The second homicide happened minutes later. Police found a woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside a home in the 3000 block of East 31st Street around 6:26 p.m. The woman is described as African American and approximately 30 years old.
Witnesses told police that they saw a black man leaving the scene in a gray, four-door sedan.
