Travis Releford’s windmill slam nominated for ‘Dunk of the Year’

Travis Releford got all Dominique Wilkins on the UMKC Kangaroos. The Kansas Jayhawks guard’s windmill slam from the January 5 blowout win is getting some love nationally and is a nominee for “Dunk of the Year.”

But it’s up to the fans — and so far, Releford is winning with 80 percent of the vote. The voting ends Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

The winner goes to a final vote on March 7, and the winners will be featured April 2 on an hour-long
