Toro Y Moi’s show at the Riot Room was packed, but worth it

Did you see Toro Y Moi at the Riot Room on Friday night? No? Well, neither did I. I heard him, though; and Chaz Bundick has never sounded better.

This was not the same artist that I saw last summer opening for Caribou at the Granada in Lawrence, stuttering and bespectacled in a white v-neck shirt. (Actually, Bundick could have still been bespectacled and wearing a white v-neck shirt; I — inhaling a stinking cloud of body odor at the back of the crowd — was none the wiser.)
