Tonight: The dance party is @ Junior Boys (MP3 enhanced)

It’s always a party when Junior Boys are in town. The Hamilton, Ontario-based electronic duo of Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus (who often tour with a live drummer for sonic support) have twice put on stellar shows at the Record Bar in the past couple of years, and, with a new album in tow, tonight’s show at the RB with Max Tundra promises to live up to the standard.
Fresh out on Domino Records, JB’s third album, Begone Dull Care, finds the duo coming ever closer to writing THE transcendental electronic-pop dance song. They came close in 2006 with “In the Morning” from breakthrough sophomore album So This Is Goodbye. This year’s breathless dance floor summer anthem is “Hazel,” track five off the polished analog diamond that is Care. Download it on the house, below, and don’t try and tell us it doesn’t make you want to move.
