Tonight: Sloppy Seconds at the Brass Rail

This slid under my radar until I spotted it yesterday morning on MySpace.
Punk rock legends Sloppy Seconds will play their only area show with Iron Guts Kelly at the Brass Rail Tavern in Topeka.
It’s a full-bore punk show in a pub owned by a punk rocker (namely, Robert “Boj” Stevens, frontman for Iron Guts Kelly). The show is all ages, $10, and starts at 8 p.m. sharp. The guys in IGK promise “Lots of cold beer, hot BBQ and fat dudes.” I’m not sure what it says about me if I think that could be a pretty awesome marketing phrase. Lawrence bar-food emporium Jefferson’s uses “Peace. Love. Hot wings.,” and this is far less insipid.
The Brass Rail is located at 401 N.E. Emmett Street in Topeka.
