Tonight: Holiday Sip & Shop at the Jackpot

Now, you’ve more than likely seen ads, fliers, or Facebook messages regarding the various holiday art fairs around Kansas City and Lawrence. However, we imagine that you, the hip, now, up-to-date Wayward Blog reader is looking for something a little more interesting than the usual potholders and iron-on t-shirts.

Oh, and the ability to knock back a drink would be nice, too — am I right?

Well, here you are. From 6-9:00 p.m. tonight at the Jackpot in Lawrence, there will be the Holiday Sip & Shop. Featuring drink specials, and affordable art from Lawrence’s finest, there’s really no excuse not to pop in for a little bit.

People who will have stuff for sale include Blue Collar Press (who are rumored to have some fantastic deals), the ever-interesting Asteroid Head Art Club (as well as other Wonder Fair regulars), alongside work from Leslie Kay and Patrick Giroux (two of my absolute favorite print designers in the area — I’ve got two prints from Patrick in my living room), among many others.
