Tommy Morrison, HIV-infected former heavyweight champ, is officially crazytown

So far, HIV hasn’t done too much damage to former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison’s body. But the disease — or perhaps years of having his brain smashed against his skull — has taken its toll on his mind.

In his Sunday column, the Star’s Sam Mellinger checks in with the former Kansas City-based boxer, who’s now “training” in Wichita. Though he was diagnosed with HIV in 1996 and has recently tested positive for the disease, Morrison continues to insist that the disease is a myth invented by the government — and he apparently has his girlfriend convinced of the same.
