Tommy Adams, now former southeast Missouri sheriff, accused of distributing meth

Classy police operation they’re running in Carter County. Not only was the sheriff charged with distributing meth — a drug that has ruined more than the teeth of rural Missourians — but also his deputy is charged with burglary and receiving stolen property.

Now-former Carter County Sheriff Tommy Adams was arrested last weekend. The 31-year-old was reportedly the target of a lengthy investigation by Carter County prosecutors, the FBI, Van Buren police, the Missouri Division of Fire Safety, and the Missouri

State Highway Patrol.
