Tom Holland makes it official … running for Kansas governor

We can officially remove the question mark from behind the phrase “Democrat Tom
Holland to run for Kansas governor.” The Kansas senator has scheduled a 1 p.m. press conference at 11th and Garfield in Topeka to announce his candidacy.
The Dems I’ve spoke with say he’s more than a “lamb to slaughter,” a term I used to describe Tom Wiggans, whose flirtation with running against likely Republican candidate Sam Brownback was short-lived (at best).
The 48-year-old Holland is from Baldwin City, Kansas. He
is only in his first term as a senator (he was first elected as a state
rep in 2003). There’s more bio stuff on his Senate
campaign site.
The Web site “Tom Holland For Kansas” has not gone live yet.
