Tim Whitmer Presents July Jazz Jam 4, at Community Christian Church

Tim Whitmer has been rollicking and swinging Kansas City–style jazz since the days of the City Light Orchestra in the 1980s. These days, you can find him at the Phoenix on Saturdays. But Sunday, at Community Christian Church, Whitmer has planned something special: July Jazz Jam 4. This concert finds Whitmer at his usual seat behind the piano, with longtime KC jazz experts Rod Fleeman on guitar, James Albright on bass and Jurgen Welge on drums. Todd Wilkinson, Nick Rowland and Terry Peffer provide the saxophones, and singer Monique Danielle will also be on deck. This evening will be quite unlike what parishioners will have heard at the church Sunday morning.
