Tim Jones and Jeff Roorda, Missouri lawmakers, get heated on the House floor (updated)

The Rs and Ds in the Missouri Legislature weren’t playing nice today.

Prime Buzz reports that a couple of Missouri lawmakers had to be restrained today during a budget debate.

Lawmakers reportedly had to hold by Rep. Jeff Roorda, a Barnhart Democrat, and Rep. Tim Jones, a Eureka Republican. Roorda was speaking before the House, raising his voice (Fired Up! Missouri has 12 minutes of audio) when Jones reportedly started yelling, “You’re a liar!,” pointing (see the photo on the right) and trying to get to Roorda. Lawmakers separated the men.
