Throwback Thursday: Watch Federation of Horsepower’s video for ‘Hot Rails’ ahead of their Saturday show at the Replay

It’s a testament to Federation of Horsepower’s stamina (and rotating crew of musicians) that one finds it surprising that their tenth anniversary show was nearly three years ago. For a band that’s been gigging hard around the area for as long as this former quartet — now quintet — has been, they approach every show like it was their first.

There’s something very appealing in a band that’s willing to hew to the old adage that every show is somebody’s first time seeing you. This diesel-fueled rock ‘n’ roll machine put out their first album, Stay Down, back in 2007. While there’s quite a few live videos of the FoHP out there on YouTube, this is the only official music video they ever did, for “Hot Rails.”

Federation of Horsepower is at the Replay Lounge this Saturday, June 27, as part of Lawrence Field Day Fest, which runs Thursday, June 25, through Saturday night. Check out the complete line-up and set times here.
