Throwback Thursday: Listen to Vitreous Humor’s ‘Sharin’ Stone’; Danny Pound at the Replay Friday

Lawrence record label Whatever Forever has a new tape compilation on its way this weekend, so what better way to celebrate than with a festival? Amongst the many local musicians featured on the upcoming comp and as part of the festivities is the one and only Danny Pound.

Given his many wonderful projects over the years, it was difficult to decide which one to feature, but we went with one of the earliest: Vitreous Humor. Their Posthumous CD, from 1998, features a selection of 7-inch tracks, live material, and new songs, including the very-excellent “Sharin’ Stone.” It’s a college-rock gem of the first order.

Danny Pound teams up with Doug McKinney to play the Forever Fest pre-party at the Replay this Friday, July 24. Details on that show can be found here.
