Thomas Robinson goes fifth in the NBA Draft, Tyshawn Taylor 41st overall pick

The wait is over for two former University of Kansas basketball stars. Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor can get back to playing basketball. Robinson was the fifth overall pick in the draft, selected by the Sacramento Kings, while Taylor was taken 41st overall for the Brooklyn Nets. A guy known for his even demeanor off the court, Robinson was clearly choked up as he hugged his 9-year-old sister Jayla after his name was called by NBA commissioner David Stern.
“I worked hard to get here and to see it all right in front of me, I got emotional,” Robinson told the San-Jose Mercury News. “It was everything. Everything that I had been holding in came out.”
