This weekend: Three Bees Pottery and Coffee hosts Sunday market

Sunday mornings are for rest and relaxation, and what better way to detox than drinking artisan coffee, looking at colorful pottery, and browsing local vendors? 

Three Bees Pottery and Coffee offers all three of these things on the last Sunday of every month with their Sunday Markets. These markets showcase local talent and provide a welcome community space through handmade items and delicious treats. 

Artisan and Three Bee’s barista Jocelyn Lloyd sells their unique prints, buttons, and stickers at these markets with the help of their best friend and roommate Lance Renner. 

While Lloyd makes lattes inside Three Bees, Renner sits at a booth all day selling their art. The prints are very personal to both, tied to meaningful objects and animals for the two best friends. 

“The bird prints are our pet bird, Zazu,” Renner says. “They’ve also done drawings of me, and people we know as well.”

This Sunday market offers a space for local artisans to share their goods, especially for smaller sellers with no physical shop.

“We do commissions and sell online, but this is the only place we sell their works in person,” Renner says. “These markets are free for us to set up at, so they really help out small businesses.” 

A variety of other homemade goods are sold at the market outside of artwork, with stands selling nail polish, handcrafted jewelry, and clay dishes at the last event. 

Three Bees is open during the market, selling their specialty coffee drinks inspired by traditional Mexican drinks. The walls are covered with shelves of intricate pottery for sale, from vases and pots to ornate animal sculptures and wall art.

The market is in the parking lot at Strasser Hardware next to Three Bees Pottery and Coffee. It is on the last Sunday of each month from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. until the weather gets cold.
