There’s a tattoo convention in Kansas City this weekend

The Villain Arts Tattoo Convention arrives in Kansas City today. Some 250 tattoo artists, including Ink Master winners Jason Clay Dunn and Joey Hamilton, and a bunch of other people who have been on that TV show, will be hanging out at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center from Friday through Sunday.
Also on the schedule: burlesque from Marlo Marquise; “Half-Pint Brawlers” (little person wrestling); live human suspension (which looks terrifying); and The Enigma, the guy from the X-Files who has turned his body into a sort of tattoo jigsaw puzzle. You can also, of course, get tattooed. Get your body covered in tattoos, even!
Tickets are sold only at the show. They cost $20 per day, or $40 for a three-day pass. (Children under 12 enter free.)
Hours:
Friday 2 p.m.–midnight
Saturday 11 a.m.–midnight
Sunday 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
The official afterparty tonight (Friday) is at the Red Front at 11 p.m.
