There’s a reason they’re called “fanatics”

Twitter is a hotbed of weird, random things that get passed around from person to person. Because of the “@” function, one can communicate with pretty much any other person on Twitter. Whether you get a response or not is somewhat up in the air, but getting in touch with your favorite actor/musician/director is easier now than it ever was.
Of course, this means that the sort of thing that used to be kept in the back rooms of music fandom are now available for all to see. Case in point: this tattoo on a Reel Big Fish enthusiast. No offense, man — but that band changes members so often, that thing’s going to be out-of-date within a year. It’s going to start looking ugly when you start adding new personnel and crossing out the formers…well, uglier than it already does, that is.
Congrats to RBF for making Buddyhead’s Best and Worst Records of 2009 with their covers album Fame, Fortune, and Fornication. Says the ‘Head:
Satan finally got what he wanted for Christmas in 2009: a ska band covering Poison and more! You really scored big this year champ cuz those rude boys in Reel Big Fish figured since they tricked 7th graders into liking ska in the 90’s by covering A-Ha! they could pull the same shit with a full covers record in 2009. BAD BET dudes. Call up the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and see if they can set you up with an interview at whichever spaghetti factory they’re waiting tables at now. Bring your flair, you’re gonna need it!
