The World Series Of Barbecue Is Coming To Arrowhead

It was announced on Tuesday that the World Series of Barbecue will be coming to Arrowhead Stadium. The event usually held at the West Bottoms will move to the Arrowhead Stadium area this year because the demand has gotten too big to fit in such a small space. This year’s event will be held from October 1-4.

For the past 36 years the event had been held in the parking lot of Kemper Arena, but will now be able to grow in the areas surrounding the stadium. While no events will take on the field, there may be some things during the four days that will take place inside the stadium. There is a multi-year deal to bring the World Series of Barbecue to the Arrowhead area.

The usual occupant of that space, the Kansas City Chiefs, will be away that weekend as they face the Cincinnati Bengals during Week 4. They will overtake Arrowhead when they return home the following weekend to face the Chicago Bears. For Kansas City fans wanting to hang around for that game, Chiefs tickets on TiqIQ are available for just $43 against the Bears.

Fans looking to travel to this BBQ extravaganza may find Hipmunk.com helpful for their planning. Hipmunk has flights to Kansas City and hotels in Kansas City starting at $49, allowing participants from all over the country to partake in the festivities.
