The word’s in: Rockfest is back next year

Rockers, rejoice! Looks like Rockfest is going to be coming back to Penn Valley park next year in 2011, mudslides be damned.

The Kansas City park board today approved a one-year agreement with AEG Live Productions for the annual music festival to occupy part of the park and the grounds of the Liberty Memorial on May 14, 2011.

There was a gigantic hullabaloo following this year’s Rockfest, since Penn Valley Park essentially turned into a mud hole. Check out our slideshow of this year’s Rockfest here.
