The West 18th Street Fashion Show is June 14

Fashionistas, circle June 14 on your calendar. That Saturday night is when the 14th incarnation of the West 18th Street Fashion Show will take place at dusk, as usual, in the Crossroads Arts District on West 18th Street between Baltimore and Wyandotte.
This year’s theme is Ceremonial Summer. Here’s what to expect, via the producers:
“Ceremonial Summer explores the idea of how we mark time. From initiations to coronations, class, culture and spiritual beliefs, this theme will highlight the process of celebration and transition. It will serve as inspiration for the original designs that will be debuted on the West 18th Street Fashion Show runway.”
The fashion show is now accepting applications to fill the 18 spots for garment and accessories designers. The deadline to apply is March 17. For information on how to apply, see the fashion show’s website.
A limited number of runway seats will go on sale Thursday, May 1, via the website, Birdies Lingerie and Swimwear, and Donna’s Dress Shop.
