The Violent Femmes coming to Crossroads KC this summer with Echo and the Bunnymen

There are bands that don’t age well, and there are acts whose sound and feel are timeless. Count the Violent Femmes among the latter: Its debut record, almost as old as The Pitch at 35, still sounds subversively fresh. And its performances are fun — the Femmes played our 25th-anniversary party, and even before the show started, the audience was throwing Pitch promo clocks off the balcony. It stayed rowdy.

But I digress. You can see the Femmes in 2017, along with Echo and the Bunnymen, on Tuesday, July 25, at Crossroads KC. Tickets are $39-$81.50 and will be available at 10 a.m. this Friday, April 7, via CrossroadsKC’s website
