The saddest story of the day

KMBC Channel 9 has the saddest story you’ll read today.

Angela Stuteville, a 31-year-old Northland woman, started showing signs of the H1N1 flu before giving birth to a baby boy.

A month later, Stuteville died.

From KMBC:

She developed acute respiratory distress syndrome, which has a high mortality rate and is a condition that can be brought about by the H1N1 virus.

Stuteville never came out of the coma. Though she saw her son briefly, she never got to hold her newborn.

The world is a cruel, cruel place sometimes.
