The Roseline rises from its four-year slumber, signs to Ninth Street Opus

Typically, when bands say they are going on a hiatus, it’s like going “on a break” in a relationship — the temporary break will likely end up being a permanent one. In the case of the Roseline, it really was a shame to hear a few years back that group members were finished playing together; the alt-country act perennially ended up on many local best-of lists and was always worth going out to see perform. So sorta like when Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner ended up back together after some time apart, it was great news to hear that the Roseline had reunited (though we hope this reunification goes a little more smoothly than that of the Melrose Place stars).
The Roseline recently signed to Berkeley, California’s Ninth Street Opus label, and is set to release a new album March 27, Vast as Sky, its first record since 2008’s Lust for Luster. Catch the band at the Replay March 29 before it heads out on a tour of the South, Southwest and West Coast. In the meantime, stream the entire record here.
