Cody Wyoming is no stranger to band life — he’s had his hands in countless projects over the years — but there’s always been something a little different about the Philistines. The heavy-hitting psych-rock six-piece, helmed by Wyoming’s longterm partner Kimmie Queen, seems to grow its audience with every splashy show it plays.

So it’s no surprise that the Philistines can now boast some formal representation. Today, the Record Machine announced that the band was joining the local label’s roster. The band’s debut full-length, Backbone of the Night, will be released in early 2016. We’re looking forward to it.
