They’re also the questions that local artist thePhantom* proposes in his latest release, Bohemian Seductive Grooves for the Gay Soul. These five lusty, backbending tracks feature Reggie B, Whispers and Alex Niedt, and drip with enough raw sex for the horniest freakniks. ThePhantom* shows off his panty-dropping prowess from the first track, “Midnight Seduction,” in which he imagines an intimate tryst at a fictional lounge. I’m surrounded by angels of ecstasy, he wistfully observes over a multilayered beat fit for a rave. But wait, what exactly are seductive grooves for the gay soul? Judging by this, they’re funkadelic beats and poetic verse that’ll have you philosophizing in your birthday suit.
