The National at the Uptown on September 29

If the National has been making you feel a little depressed lately — and not (for once) because of lead singer Matt Berninger’s icy baritone vocals, but because the band’s spring tour wasn’t landing anywhere near Kansas City — you can turn that frown upside down.
Cincinnati’s finest just announced a second U.S. tour, which includes a September 29 stop at the Uptown. Opener will be the über-impressive live act of Owen Pallett, Canada’s violin-ing answer to Andrew Bird.
Tickets go on sales this weekend. If this tour’s as popular as their newly released album, High Violet, you might want to buy them ASAP. Tickets are on sale on Saturday, June 5, at 10 A.M.
