The Kansas City Central Library shows Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure Friday night on the rooftop

There are those who argue that times gone before weren’t necessarily more innocent. Anyone who says this about America’s George H.W. Bush years, though, must consider Bill & Ted’s Excellent … Cereal. Not the bowl you think of when you think of Keanu Reeves’ and Alex Winter’s Wyld Stallyns bandmates in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, the heartwarming tale of two young musicians overcoming life-threatening learning disabilities.

This 1989 dumdum classic is the next-to-last of this summer’s Pitch-sponsored Off the Wall rooftop movies at the Kansas City Central Library (14 West 10th Street). Friday night’s free screening starts just after dusk (around 8:45), preceded by free beer from co-sponsor KC Bier Co. See kclibrary.org for details.
