Experience The Incredible Painting of Felix Clousseau now at the Rabbit Hole and five things to do this week

In March, Pete Cowdin and Deb Pettid closed Reading Reptile, their small, idiosyncratic and beloved children’s bookstore. They did this in order to go full steam on the Rabbit Hole, a proposed national center for the children’s book that’s now raising funds and marshaling strategy. On the evidence of the exhibition now on view in a temporary Crossroads space, the couple’s ambitious project promises to be idiosyncratic, beloved — and not at all small. The installation at 400 East 17th Street showcases Jon Agee’s classic The Incredible Painting of Felix Clousseau as an immersive, interactive (and just plain beautiful) experience. It’s up through May 20. See rabbitholekc.org for hours and events.
