The Graham Colton Band

For every faux, self-avowed “rock and roller” out there playing in the major leagues (Avril, I’m talking to you, missy), there are at least a dozen bands that represent the real deal, sleeping in vans and loading their own equipment to play whatever rundown dive that can buck up enough chump change to attract a good act. But every once in a while, one of those hardworking do-gooders gets the call. After making a name for himself as an acoustic artist in Dallas, singer-songwriter Graham Colton hooked himself up with a solid band and began attracting the attention of the Counting Crows, the Wallflowers, John Mayer and Guster to fill opening slots on national tours. With the release of its second album, Drive, the Graham Colton Band is prepared to hit the road again this summer with both Train and Dave Matthews. Maybe Colton will send a few deserving folks back down to the minors along the way .
