Next summer, a full decade after their most recent studio album, Taking the Long Way, the Dixie Chicks are reuniting to make all our country crossover dreams come true. The group stops at the Sprint Center on Tuesday, August 30 — one of over 40 dates on its 2016 DCX MMXVI World Tour.
After scooping up the Grammy for Album of the Year with Taking the Long Way, the Dixie Chicks — Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire — slipped into a hiatus. Sisters Robison and Maguire went on to form the duo Court Yard Hounds, releasing albums in 2010 and 2013. Maines, the Chicks’ fiery lead singer, released her first solo album in 2013.
Tickets are on sale Saturday, November 21, at 10 a.m. Details here.
