The Crystal Method

Our local DJs have some mad skills, but rarely does KC play host to internationally renowned vinyl spinners in an intimate club space. Every club kid’s dream (and every recovering raver’s worst nightmare) comes true when big-beat bigwig the Crystal Method brings its bandwagon to Kabal, the region’s hottest new place to grope and be groped. The River Market nightspot’s subterranean dance floor is sure to explode with local club freaks’ pent-up desire to get down with the kind of show usually reserved for dance meccas like Miami, Los Angeles and New York. This time around, the Method is pushing its new mix CD, Community Service II. Expect to hear exclusive remixes of songs by the Doors (“Roadhouse Blues”), New Order and Smashing Pumpkins along with some original productions and tracks from the duo’s favorite break-beat producers, such as UNKLE, Evil Nine and Uberzone.
