The Caves, Knife Crime and Sona take over Davey’s Uptown this Friday

Somewhere between dream pop and psychedelic folk, between stargazing and daydreaming, local indie darlings the Caves exist, and that’s what they’ll be bringing to Davey’s Uptown tomorrow night.
Last year’s full-length, Duplexiaville, was a glittering nugget of precious, easygoing tracks that seem to take the listener by the hand and gently lead him or her to a field of butterflies and bluebells. Lead singer Andrew Ashby has a scratchy, just-woke-up voice that seems to slow down the driving guitar chords, and his harmonies with drummer Elizabeth Bohannon are so sweet, they’ll make your teeth hurt. They’ve got other local support from Knife Crime and Sona on Friday, too.
Doors at 9 p.m., $7 cover. More info here.
