  • The tour dates have been unmasked, and the Black Keys are coming back to KC.

First they came to eat our barbecue. Now, they’re coming for your heart. The Black Keys announced a few new tour dates on their Twitter account this morning, and Sunday, April 28, is a date to circle. That’s when the rock band straight out of Akron intends to take the stage at the Sprint Center with, oh yeah, the Flaming Lips. The two bands are spending a week traipsing through four cities (Nashville, Atlanta and Pittsburgh are the other destinations). Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 11.

Nick Spacek found out that the Black Keys can make “some goddamn noise” when they played the Crossroads back in June 2010. And the rock duo returned to Kansas City in 2011 as part of Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations,” in which they shared their observations about life on the road and Kansas City barbecue.
