The Biggest Matchup In The NFL Might Also Be The Cheapest
The Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs are two of the quietest 6-3 teams the NFL will ever see. Perhaps it has something to do with the defending champion Seahawks not exactly dominating or that the Chiefs aren’t quite as good as the division rival Denver Broncos.
Whatever the reason, no one seems to notice these two underrated squads, and after week 11, one of them will suddenly be a very impressive 7-3. That will mean either the Arizona Cardinals have a real threat on their hands in the NFC West, or that will instead be said for the Broncos in the AFC West.
Needless to say, a lot is riding on this week 11 battle in Kansas City, where Seahawks tickets are offering up insane value at just $126.45 on average ($34 to get in!). The hype surrounding this duel and the price involved suggests it’s a preseason clash, but the reality is that this is a massive game that both of these teams sorely need.
But who takes it? As tough as Seattle is, Kansas City holds an obvious edge with this one going down at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are a stellar 3-1 at home in 2014, while the visiting
Seahawks have been merely average (2-2) away from the 12th Man. Home field advantage won’t be enough, though, as the Chiefs will be tasked with ruffling Russell Wilson’s feathers, as well as shutting down Marshawn Lynch, who is fresh off of a four-touchdown outing in week 10. Even if the Chiefs do keep Seattle’s balanced offense in check, they’ll still need to get Jamaal Charles going and cross their fingers Alex Smith plays a smart, mistake-free game.
While none of that is certain, that is the exact recipe for a Chiefs win in week 11. If they can do that, the home crowd could help take care of the rest.
