The Baseball Project is at RecordBar tonight

There are several reasons to see the Baseball Project at RecordBar tonight: Notably, it features members of Dream Syndicate, the Minus 5, and R.E.M. However, what with the Royals now first in the American League Central, their performance seems to have been presciently booked. Given the fact that each and every song the Baseball Project performs is about the national pastime, combined with the fact that Kansas City has lately gone baseball mad, means that tonight’s show may be about more than a few baseball-mad, power-pop nerds. This may be the coolest pep rally you’ll ever attend — to say nothing of seeing Peter Buck play guitar from 5 feet away.

The band’s touring in support of their third album, 3rd, out now on Yep Roc Records.

The Pedaljets open tonight’s show, and details can be found here.
