The Architects opening Flogging Molly’s Green 17 Tour

In a badass bit of news, it comes to us that Kansas City’s the Architects will be opening every date of Flogging Molly’s Green 17 tour this year. Every year, Flogging Molly plays a series of dates leading up to a big St. Patrick’s Day throwdown — sort of like giving every town they play a chance to celebrate it twice.

The dates start in Dallas on February 9, and run all the way through March 15 in Tulsa. We get the tour right before the end, when it hits the Uptown on March 14 (then again, you already knew that, didn’t you?).

This isn’t the first time the Architects have opened for Flogging Molly, but it is the first time they’ve been tapped as support for an entire tour, as opposed to one of a rotating cast. And, as an added bonus, folk-punker Frank Turner has been confirmed for the entire run of dates. Although — somewhat ominously — the Kansas City date is the only one not mentioned on his MySpace page.
