The 1985 Kansas City Royals celebrate winning the World Series in this video

Here’s four minutes of footage from the 1985 Royals’ locker room celebration after beating the St. Louis Cardinals in game seven of the World Series.
Alison Reed tweeted us a link to the video with this message: “@TheFastPitch this is amazing footage my father got in the locker room from the 85 World Series game 7! Take a look.”
The video description says Raymond Reed sneaked into the Royals’ locker room with his personal video camera after the game. The highlights include lots of champagne showers, the Cardinals equipment guys tossing bags of bats onto the back of a truck, a call from Ronald Reagan and George Brett giving an inspirational speech. (“We were a terrible team on paper, but winning games isn’t on paper. It’s inner strength, heart and pride.”)
Let’s hope there’s a repeat tonight. Let’s go, Royals.
