Teva Neuroscience leaving Kansas City for Overland Park
Missouri and Kansas may no longer battle on the hardwood or gridiron, but the local competition for business is as fierce as ever. The Kansas City Star reports that Teva Neuroscience will be moving its headquarters, along with 400 jobs, from Kansas City to Overland Park.
While Teva stated that financial incentives were part of the decision, officials from the company declined the Star‘s request for more details. The pharmaceutical firm is expected to relocate from 901 East 104th Street in 2013 when its new office building at Nall and College is completed. With AMC moving from Kansas City to Leawood and Applebee’s leaving Lenexa for Kansas City in the past year, the corporate carousel will likely continue spinning for some time.
