Terry Kirtley’s skull found in a backyard of a Kansas City home, bones found in wooded area

There’s a mystery afoot after an Oklahoma man’s skull was found in the backyard of a home at 37th and Myrtle.

Kansas City police are trying to figure out how 43-year-old Terry Kirtley died. His skull was discovered on August 28.

Three days later, detectives found his bones in a wooded area just east of where his skull was discovered. Why was the skull so far away from the rest of the bones?
