Tech N9ne wants KC to get healthy

Tech N9ne is as emblematic of Kansas City as barbeque, jazz roots and obesity. The local rapper is a Kansas City hero, and he’s using his fans’ adoration in an admirable twist. In an effort to “encourage young African Americans to take care of their health and get regular checkups,” the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is hosting a “Meet and Greet” with the rapper on April 24th, “geared towards African Americans of all ages who receive health services and who meet special income guidelines.”

The Family Health Day, titled “Live Your Life, Live Healthy,” features free mini beauty makeovers and chair massages: swanky. But don’t think you can just waltz in and cop a free massage, snag some carrot sticks and shake Tech N9Ne’s hand:

Persons who want to participate in Family Health Day activities, and who want to meet Tech N9ne must register to receive medical services – a check-up or physical – before meeting the rapper.

BAM. Get healthy, bitch.
